Pinay artist Kate Torralba to perform at MUSICMEX in Mexico

<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1749777938648KT.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"/></div><p>MANILA -- Filipino singer-songwriter  Kate Torralba is set to represent the Philippines at the first edition of MUSICMEX, a festival dedicated to fostering collaborations, cultural exchanges, and business opportunities in music. </p><p>The event will take place in Mexico City, with Torralba performing on Thursday, June 19, at Jardin Jacarandas. </p><p>“I’ve always heard amazing things about the music scene in Mexico from musician-friends in Berlin and Tokyo,” Torraba said in a press statement. </p><p>“I’m so psyched to finally experience it myself, and even more I feel so lucky to have been chosen to represent my country in this international music industry event.”</p><p>For her set, Torralba promises an intimate and engaging show with storytelling in between songs.</p><p>“I think what sets me apart from other musicians is that I am a multi-hyphenate artist, my many creative transmissions inform my performance onstage. No set is ever the same because every crowd is different -- and I always say that the show can only get as good as the crowd is.”</p><p>Joining Torralba in the Philippine delegation to MUSICMEX are MC Galang and Ian Urrutia, co-founders of The Rest Is Noise PH, a music publication, curator, and events producer based in Manila.
