APO's Jim Paredes shares musical moment with Beabadoobee at concert

<p>MANILA -- OPM veteran Jim Paredes turned to social media to share his experience singing songs of APO Hiking Society with Filipino-British singer-songwriter Beabadoobee, during her concert at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City last Tuesday night.</p><p>In his Facebook post, Paredes began by sharing that he received a call from Beabadoobee&#x27;s father, who thanked him for his post about his daughter singing APO&#x27;s &quot;Panalangin.&quot; The father then invited Paredes to watch his daughter&#x27;s concert.</p><p>In the concert venue, Paredes was asked by Beabadoobee if he could sing &quot;Panalangin&quot; with her on stage. Paredes agreed and they ended up also singing lines from other APO hits.</p><p>&quot;Got a message this afternoon from @Beabadoobie&#x27;s dad Oliver to thank me for posting about Bea&#x27;s singing Panalangin 2 nights ago. After chatting awhile, he invited me to watch the show. I said yes. I brought Betta Dans, APO&#x27;s manager. We met Bea and she asked if I could sing Panalangin wd her. I said yes. We ran it a few times. She told me she loved APO&#x27;s songs as a young  kid in Iloilo. It was the soundtrack of her childhood,&quot; Paredes wrote. </p><p>&quot;We sang a few lines of Ewan, Princesa, Awit ng Barkada and she was in tears while singing... She could not believe that she was  actually singing it with an original APO. It was  almost unbelievable for the 2 of us,&quot; he added.</p><p>Paredes concluded his post by expressing his gratitude to Beabadoobee and her father for the memorable experience. </p><p>&quot;Long story short, she called me on stage to sing wd her very avid fans singing along with us.  What a night. And a thrill.
