Before becoming a K-pop idol, he was a figure skater.</p><p>&quot;My first dream was to skate at an Olympics, but I have chosen to pursue my second dream as a pop idol. Even though I am in a different career now, I feel like I&#x27;ve realized my dream,&quot; he said in a press conference as reported by <em>The Korea Times.</em></p><p>The ENHYPEN member remarked that he is honored to be part in promoting Korean sports in the Olympics.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;ve been able to come here because of what I did in the past (as a figure skater), and I&#x27;ve received so much help along the way. It&#x27;s a huge honor to be able to come to an Olympic Games and help promote Korean sports. I was so happy to be able to join so many people in this journey that is the Olympics.&quot;</p><p>In a press release prior to the Winter Olympics, Sunghoon shared his admiration for the athletes competing in the global sporting event. &quot;As I am fully aware of the passion and effort by the national representatives who have shed sweat for the Winter Olympics, I have great respect and support for them,&quot; he remarked.</p><p>The singer also reflected on his personal connection to the Olympics, recalling his early dreams as a competitive athlete. &quot;I had dreamed of being part of the Olympics when I was skating, and I am thrilled to be able to fulfill that dream now as a singer,&quot; he remarked.</p>
