Benitez, a lover of kundiman — a traditional Filipino genre of romantic ballads— and “celebrates the richness of Filipino musical heritage,” according to a press release.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1773811125477Poster Facebook Size - Arthur Espiritu Mga Awit ng Pag-Ibig at Kundiman.jpg" style="width:633px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>The repertoire traces the kundiman&#x27;s evolution from its patriotic beginnings to zarzuela, love songs, and modern art songs, featuring songs composed by  Nicanor Abelardo, Francisco Santiago, Constancio de Guzman, Ernani Cuenco, Levi Celerio and Augusto Espino, among others.</p><p>Espiritu, a world-class opera singer who recently performed the title role in &quot;Prince Igor&quot; at the Munich Opera House, will be joined in the concert by award-winning soprano Stefanie Quintin‑Avila and renowned pianist Najib Ismail.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/life/05/21/22/tenor-arthur-espiritu-dissects-opera-musical-theater"><strong>READ: Tenor Arthur Espiritu dissects opera, musical theater<br/></strong></a></div><p>All proceeds from the concert will go to the MiraNila Conservation Program, which has restored numerous at-risk artworks and is currently working to repair the 94-year-old MiraNila Heritage House affected by severe flooding in 2025.</p><p>Tickets are priced at P2,500 for adults and P2,000 for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and students with valid IDs. A limited early-bird promotion is available until March 29, with tickets at P2,000 for adults and P1,500 for seniors, PWDs, and students.</p>
