MANILA -- Filipino pop-rock band The Itchyworms are set to bring their &quot;Akin Ka Na Lang&quot; concert in New Zealand this month.The band is set to perform in four key cities across the country kicking off in Auckland on September 18 at Galatos, followed by Notre Dame Performing Arts Center in Wellington on September 19 and Queenstown Memorial Center in Queenstown on September 25.On September 28, they will perform at Christ’s College Auditorium in Christchurch.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1788224617949image.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>The Itchyworms. Handout</div>According to the band&#x27;s vocalist Jugs Jugueta, the tour is about reconnecting with Filipino communities and rediscovering the best the Philippines has to offer. “It’s very humbling. It’s really great that the world is now discovering all things Filipino,” he said in a press release.Jugueta looks forward to sharing the experience with both Filipinos and their Kiwi friends. “We encourage all Filipinos to bring their Kiwi friends and family so that we can show them how Filipinos party!”Meanwhile, drummer and vocalist Jazz Nicolas describes the band’s cross-generational songwriting as one of the things Filipinos and foreigners should look forward to: “It’s like hiding medicine in chocolate.
