Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s 'How to Spot A Red Flag' to air on free TV

<p>The latest show of Kapamilya actors Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, <em>How to Spot A Red Flag</em>, is set to air on primetime starting this month. The two shared some lessons they’ve learned while filming the series that would hopefully transcend to the viewers.</p><div><br/></div><p><em>How to Spot A Red Flag </em>will make its free TV premiere this January 27 on various platforms such as the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5.</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/2024/9/25/donny-pangilinan-belle-mariano-to-star-in-new-original-viu-series-1212" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>READ: Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano to star in new original Viu series</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>The series tells the story of a spunky barista, Cha (played by Belle), who is torn between two men–– a charming good boy named Matt (portrayed by Donny) and a JR (played by Jameson Blake). Despite being catfished and seeing the red flags in the two men, Cha tries to see if it’s possible to find her real love. </p><div><br/></div><p>Belle expressed her excitement at being back in the primetime slot after their hit show, <em>Can’t Buy Me Love</em>, finished airing last year. This time, she shared how there’s another lesson that viewers can learn in this series–– being extra careful on who you talk to online. </p><div><br/></div><p>“It feels so nice to be back on Primetime Bida siyempre kasi this time around, makakapagturo na naman kami ng bagong learning sa audience namin. Most especially nowadays andaming trolls online, andaming scammers online, and catfishing. We have to be extra careful and it’s so nice that we’re able to communicate that through this show,” Belle shared.</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/2024/3/16/donny-pangilinan-belle-mariano-proud-of-success-of-can-t-buy-me-love-1755" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>READ: Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano proud of success of ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>Donny, on the other hand, added how everyone should stay vigilant and really know who they’re talking to on social media, especially with the improvement of artificial intelligence. </p><div><br/></div><p>“It’s a very timely show kasi every single day technology gets better and better with the rise of AI and stuff like that. It’s so easy to fake profiles online or to pretend to be someone to scam people. Andaming scammers ngayon,” he reminded.</p><div><br/></div><p>“Minsan kahit hindi mo nakikita yung tao kahit online lang naniniwala ka na di ba? You have to be very vigilant and it really can affect someone emotionally and mentally so be careful when you go online,” he added.</p><div><br/></div><p>Despite the seriousness of the lessons they’ve realized, Donny maintained that <em>How to Spot A Red Flag</em> offers a lighthearted show that everyone could enjoy. </p><div><br/></div><p>“But this story is very light and very funny. So, yes there are those kinds of stuff but it&#x27;s a very light show. It also shows that this stuff really does happen and we have to be careful,” he said. </p>
