‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ stars bid farewell and share messages to their fans, characters

<p>As the finale episode of the beloved Philippine adaptation of the K-drama <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/its-okay-to-not-be-okay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em>It’s Okay to Not Be Okay</em> </a>aired last night, October 17, fans were left with a bittersweet mix of closure and healing.</p><p>The series, which became an inspiration and hope for many, also resonated deeply with its cast members. In heartfelt messages shared by the cast in a Star Creatives video reel, they expressed gratitude, reflection, and a deep emotional connection to the show and its characters.</p><p>The healing trio — Mia Hernandez portrayed by Anne Curtis, Patrick Gonzales portrayed by Joshua Garcia, and Matthew Gonzales portrayed by Carlo Aquino — expressed how meaningful the series was, stating that it was a learning experience and an opportunity to impart something valuable to the viewers.</p><p>“It’s okay because we are finally coming to an end, only because it was such a learning experience for all of us. I feel that this journey has been so meaningful, not only for me but for each and every one of the cast members because each role has such a deep meaning to impart with all of our viewers,” said Kapamilya leading lady Anne.</p><p>“Mahal ko, mahal ko yung character ni Patrick. Simula umpisa pa lang grabe ko nang in-embrace yung character niya. Medyo mahirap din bitawan. Nakakalungkot. Pero, it’s okay,” Joshua shared.</p><p>“It&#x27;s okay even if it’s ending dahil nagkaroon ako ng bagong family. Nagkaroon ako ng mga kapatid. Nagkaroon ako ng panigabong foundation. Although it’s very very sad na last day na today, marami akong baon galing sa series na ‘to,” said Carlo, who earned much praise for his portrayal of a high-functioning individual on the autism spectrum.</p><p>The lead stars also talked about how they will miss everyone who has been part of the series – from cast, crew, directors, along with remarkable moments they shared as a family.</p><p>“It’s bittersweet. But I think the reason why I feel sad a bit is because I’m gonna miss of course everyone that I’ve worked with,” said Anne.</p><p>“Siguro ‘yun yung magical thing na kapag gumagawa ka ng something special you will create a special bond. And ‘yun yung mga mamimiss ko, kahit sobrang hirap na hirap kami sa taping, nakukuha pa rin namin mag-enjoy,” added by Carlo.</p><p>“Miss ko yung mga bondings namin, yung directors namin, mga staff, mga crews. Lahat ng mga videoke nights namin, isa ‘yan sa mga tatatak sa puso ko,” assured by Joshua.</p><p>Aside from their messages, the video reel also revealed some behind the scenes from the series.</p><p>Remembering all the moments they have shared together, the healing trio thanked their fans as this chapter in their lives comes to an end.</p><p>“Sobrang masaya na malungkot. Thank you,” said Carlo.</p><p>“Thank you, guys. Mahal namin kayo,” said Joshua.</p><p>“Thank you for joining us in this roller coaster ride of different emotions and feelings. We hope that we were able to give you all the same feels you had with the original version. Thank you so much and we love you.
