<p>MANILA -- &quot;Your Face Sounds Familiar&quot; season 2 grand winner Klarisse de Guzman went down memory lane as she recalled her time performing in the celebrity musical impersonation competition in 2021.</p><p>De Guzman shared her experience in the competition as she she joined Nyoy Volante as a guest judge for the Week 3 of the brand new season of &quot;Your Face Sounds Familiar,&quot; filling in for juror Gary Valenciano.</p><p>&quot;Actually nakaka-throwback, grabe. Noong nakita ko itong stage na-miss ko ang mga ka-Familiars. At ngayon may audience. At wala kayong face shield,&quot; de Guzman said.</p><p>In the new season of &quot;Your Face Sounds Familiar,&quot; de Guzman and Volante are the celebrity mentors -- De Guzman (for voice) and Volante (for performance).  </p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eV6eH8W0jv8?autoplay=1&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>After this, the guest jurors/mentors along with judges Sharon Cuneta and Ogie Alcasid enjoyed the amazing transformations of the celebrity contestants starting with Pepe Herrera, who transformed as Steven Tyler and performed &quot;Cryin&#x27;.&quot;  </p><p>The jurors praised Herrera&#x27;s impersonation and high vocal range.</p><p>&quot;Si Pepe, ang pagkakakilala ko sa kanyang talento ay parang walang bagay na hindi niya kayang gawin. I&#x27;m a Steven Tyler fan, so binabantayan ko ang mga galaw niya, kuhang-kuha naman niya. So naiinis ako sa iyo dahil magaling ka. Maraming salamat, that was a great performance at saka ang taas ng boses mo,&quot; Cuneta said.</p><p>Volante added: &quot;Ako unahin ko &#x27;yung sa action niya, &#x27;yung pagpili-pilipit kuhang-kuha. Sa totoo lang Steven Tyler is about that. Pero ang boses mo nakakabilib. Si Steven Tyler, isa sa pinakamahirap gayahin lalong-lalo na sa pagkanta. Congratulations! That was so good.&quot;</p><p>Before de Guzman&#x27;s comment, Herrera apologized to the show&#x27;s voice mentor for not following her advice to do the &quot;garalgal&quot; or gritty tone of Tyler.</p><p>&quot;Hindi mo kailangang mag-sorry kasi ang ganda ng performance mo, Pepe. Alam mo halata na sanay ka talaga sa teatro kasi kahit ang boses mo kaya mong paartehin. And sobrang hirap nang kinanta mo. Sobrang hirap gayahin ni Steven Tyler dahil napakataas talaga ng boses. But bukod sa garalgal &#x27;yung boses kuhang-kuha mo naman, &#x27;yung pagkataas ng boses, &#x27;yung placement  na maintain mo. So congratulations Pepe,&quot; said de Guzman.</p><p>Judge Ogie Alcasid commented: &quot;Pepe, ang galing mo talaga, hindi ka bumibitiw, hanggang dulo nandoon ka. Ang sarap panoorin. Hindi madaling gayahin ang isang Maymay dahil mahirap talaga pagsabayin ang sing and dance. Kahit ako medyo hirap talaga diyan, medyo lang. Ang ganda nang ginawa mo though na feel ko lang na medyo nahirapan ka sa Tagalog. Alam ko naman &#x27;yon na medyo nag-struggle ka sa Tagalog but kitang-kita ko na tinry mo talaga at naririnig ko rin ang timbre ni Maymay,&quot; de Guzman said.</p><p>&quot;Tama &#x27;yung sinabi niya mahirap kumanta at sumayaw at the same time. So gets ko &#x27;yung struggle. Ang daling magtago super model naman &#x27;yung lakad, &#x27;yung gestures, so pwedeng sabihin natin na &#x27;oh nag-super model ako, &#x27;yun na&#x27; pero hindi. &#x27;Yung aura, pati ang mga detalye nandoon, halatang pinag-isipan, pinagmasdan, halatang pinag-aralan. So, I really appreciate that about you, lumabas talaga &#x27;yung aura,&quot; Volante said.</p><p>Alcasid added: &quot;Na-appreciate talaga namin  &#x27;yung effort na ginawa mo roon. Pero gusto ko lang ultin na mahirap pagsabayin ang (singing and dancing) pero nagawa mo. I really appreciate that you try to simulate the Maymay Entrata. Congratulations sa iyo.&quot;</p><p>&quot;To think na galing naman si Dia sa modelling at pagiging beauty queen pero you still entertained us with your number and we still saw a lot of Maymay in you. Although si Maymay unique siya, hindi ba? Fierce. Mahal ko &#x27;yung batang &#x27;yon napakabait ng batang &#x27;yan parang ikaw rin. Pero &#x27;yung ginawa mo whenever kasi Dia performs namamangha kami sa efforts niya at higit sa lahat napakaganda mo anak. Kung ako ikaw Diyos ko okay lang ganyan ang itsura mo huwag  na tayo choosy. Pero alam mo Ate Peachy from our last mentoring ang laki nang in-improve mo.  Nakaka-proud kasi huling kita ko, sabi  niya sa akin sa mentoring gusto niya lang talagang matutong kumanta kaya siya sumali. Pero ngayon talagang nagawa niya naman,&quot; de Guzman said.</p><p>&quot;Sobrang entertained kami, pero all that aside in all seriousness alam ko na nahirapan kang kumanta. Dahil hinihingal ka. Alam ko medyo hirap ka sa kanta. Pero ako ang hinahanap ko kapag nagi-impersonate ang hinahanap ay kung nare-remind ka ng artist na &#x27;yon o noong icon na &#x27;yon sobrang kitang-kita ko sa iyo &#x27;yung galaw mo. &#x27;Yung paglaro ng palda, dance moves ng &#x27;80s at saka si Cyndi Lauper ay about that pero sobra-sobrang nagalingan ako,&quot; Volante said.</p><p>Cuneta added: &quot;Alam mo ikaw &#x27;yung happiness namin dito ang lakas-lakas. Pati &#x27;yung Ka-Familiars natin sa audience pati kasama mong celebrity performers ikaw rin ang happiness namin.  Pero mapunta tayo sa performance, kuha mo naman &#x27;yung intention ni Cyndi, kuha mo naman ng konti pero hindi talaga mawala yung &#x27;hooo.&#x27; We see that you put so much effort in this, &#x27;yung gusto talaga ni Rufa kumanta kaya siya sumali sa &#x27;Your Face.&#x27; Nag-improve naman lalo from the last week, totoo &#x27;yon. Base performed &quot;Sining,&quot; a collaboration track of Jay R and Dionela.</p><p>Through a video call, Jay R who is in United States, thanked Base for impersonating him. &quot;Jarlo, keep up the good work. Thank you for studying me. It was nice watching you, na-entertain talaga ako,&quot; Jay R said.</p><p>Guest judge/mentor Volante was the first to comment on Base&#x27;s performance. &quot;Gusto ko &#x27;yung hindi ka kumawala sa pagka-RnB ni Jay R. Kagaya nga nang sinabi ko he is RnB nagkatawang tao lang talaga and &#x27;yun ka from start to finish, hindi ka kumawala. Hinahanap ko lang &#x27;yung nguso. I think siguro masyado mong Iniisip &#x27;yung lyrics and all that pero nandoon, definitely it was the RnB na hinahanap natin from Jay R,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;Congratulations kasi from our last mentoring alam ko sa unang falsetto pa lang ay nahihirapan ka na but base sa napanood ko nakita ko na inaral mo, nag-praktis ka hanggang sa magawa mo siya ng maayos... Congratulations talagang nag-improve ka talaga,&quot; de Guzman said.</p><p>Cuneta said: &quot;Ako I have to agree with Nyoy and Klarisse kasi I see so much talent in Jarlo. Nakaka-appreciate &#x27;yung inaral niya talaga. Halatang kabisadong-kabisado mo. I know you did your best, pero hindi nga lumalabas &#x27;yung swag ni Jay R. Pero you did a great, great job, Jarlo,  It&#x27;s obvious you are talented siguro we are just waiting for a little more time and perfect icon for you.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Alam mo pinaka na appreciate ko sa iyo feeling ko memoryado mo &#x27;yung kanta. So &#x27;yung intentional na paglabas noong personality ni Jay R na lang  ang kulang, parang si Jarlo pa rin ang kumakanta for me. &#x27;Yun siguro ang hinahanap ko, otherwise that was a really, really good performance,&quot; judge Alcasid said.</p><p>Next week, &quot;The Ace Idol&quot; BGYO&#x27;s Akira Morishita, &quot;The Gen-Z Total Performer&quot; actress-singer Alexa Ilacad, &quot;The Prince of Soul&quot; Voice of the Philippines season 2 grand winner Jason Dy, and &quot;The Birit Duo&quot; Tawag ng Tanghalan Duets champion JM dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano are set to deliver their second impersonations.</p><p>The brand new season of &quot;Your Face Sounds Familiar&quot; airs on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live and A2Z.
