Expanded 'The Beatles Anthology' heads to Disney+ on Nov. 26

Photo courtesy of Disney+ Philippines"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">The Beatles. <em>Photo courtesy of Disney+ Philippines</em></span></span></span></div><p>A docu-series delving into the careers and lives of the iconic band The Beatles is coming to Disney+ on November 26, with a brand-new episode set to expand the story.</p><p>Originally broadcast in 1995, &quot;The Beatles Anthology&quot; has been restored and expanded from its original eight episodes to nine, Disney+ said in a press release.</p><p>The series offers &quot;unprecedented and intimate view of The Beatles&#x27; legendary trajectory and inner workings,&quot; as told by the rock icons themselves, the streaming service said.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/psmRj-IJJZ4?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></div><p>It chronicles the band&#x27;s journey from the early days to the phenomenon of Beatlemania and their rise to global superstardom.</p><p>The series&#x27; new ninth episode features previously unreleased footage of Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr during the creation of the original 1990s &quot;Anthology&quot; series and music project. </p><p>For the Disney+ release, several elements of the series have been updated, including footage restoration and sound mix overseen by the team of original producer Apple Corps, working with technicians at Peter Jackson&#x27;s Park Road Post in Wellington, New Zealand.</p><p>The first three episodes will premiere on launch day, with episodes four through six releasing on November 27, and the final three episodes arriving on November 28.</p><p>&quot;The Beatles Anthology&quot; joins a lineup of iconic Beatles — which also includes the late John Lennon — content on Disney+, including the films &quot;Let It Be&quot; and &quot;Beatles &#x27;64,&quot; and the Emmy Award-winning series &quot;The Beatles: Get Back.&quot;</p>
