Marvel shares a peek of Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as Thor in 'Avengers: Doomsday'

<p>Marvel Studios has released the teaser trailer for <em>Avengers: Doomsday</em>, featuring Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as Thor.</p><p>In the teaser, an emotional Thor seeks guidance from his late father, Odin, as he prepares for what lies ahead.</p><p>He said: &quot;Father, all my life I&#x27;ve answered every call, to honor, duty, to war. But now fate has given me something I never sought: a child, a life untouched by the storm. Lend me the strength of the All Fathers so that I may fight once more, defeat one more enemy, and return home to her — and not as a warrior but as warmth, to teach her not battle but stillness, the kind I never knew. Please, father. Marvel Studios has also previously revealed in a teaser the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers.</p><p>Another <em>Avengers </em>m<em></em>ovie called <em>Secret Wars</em> is set to be released on December 17, 2027.</p><p>Back in July 2024, it was announced that Robert Downey Jr. would return to the Marvel universe, this time as Victor Von Doom aka Doctor Doom.</p><p>Joe and Anthony Russo, collectively known as the Russo Brothers, are set to be the directors of the upcoming two Avengers movies.</p><p>They previously directed <em>Captain America: The Winter Soldier </em>in 2014, <em>Captain America: Civil War</em> in 2016, <em>Avengers: Infinity War</em> in 2018, and <em>Avengers: Endgame</em> in 2019.</p><p>&quot;When we directed A<em>vengers: Endgame</em>, we really believed it was the end for us in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That four-movie run was incredible, and it left us creatively spent,&quot; Joe Russo stated in an interview with <em>Variety.</em></p><p>On what made them come back, Joe highlighted that the reason was <em>Avengers: Secret Wars</em> which he described as a &quot;very special story.&quot;</p><p>&quot;It’s the biggest story that Marvel comics ever told. It’s the reason that Anthony and I are standing up here,&quot; he stated.</p><p>The duo remarked that in order to lay the foundation for <em>Secret Wars,</em> a vital character like Doctor Doom is required.</p>
