Charo Santos shares experience working on her first romance film 'Only We Know'

<p>Charo Santos opened up about taking on her first-ever romance film in her decades-long career with <em>Only We Know.<br/></em></p><p>In the film, Charo plays Betty. She stars opposite Dingdong Dantes, who portrays Ryan.</p><p>In an interview with Boy Abunda, Charo reflected on how portraying Betty stirred memories of her younger years. &quot;Nakaka-bagets kasi parang you imagine that you are going back to your high school years, di ba? Parang ganun. There&#x27;s you meet this dashing young man, there&#x27;s nasa harap mo di ba? Wow gwapo naman nito, &#x27;yung ganun, so it brings you back to your youth,&quot; she shared.</p><p>When asked about the message <em>Only We Know</em> hopes to impart to audiences, Charo shared: &quot;Love transcends everything. There are no labels, no boundaries. Age is just a number. When it comes to feelings, you just go with flow. We just got into our characters and then &#x27;pag nandun kami sa eksena, walang overthinking eh. Siguro nga sa pitong taon na pinaghintay namin kilalang kilala na namin si Betty at tsaka si Ryan because we had so many conversations. In a previous interview, director Irene shared that the film explores the idea of breaking boundaries in the realm of love.</p><p>&quot;Last year siya nagawa. It&#x27;s a story about love. Lagi naman ako gumagawa ng kwento tungkol sa pag-ibig, pero ibang klase ng pag-ibig ito ngayon,&quot; she teased. “It&#x27;s breaking boundaries, kumbaga.&quot;</p>
