Park Ji-hoon opened up about the evolution of his character, Si-eun, in Weak Hero Class 2, reflecting on how the role has deepened since the first season.

"I think the biggest change in Ji-hun from Class One to Class Two is his gaze. In Weak Hero Season 1 or Class 1, you can see that he has a strong determination in his eyes to protect his friends that's the only thing he thinks about," he relayed in the show's cast interview with AsianFeed.

The actor noted that Season 2 shows a more emotionally complex side of the character. "In Weak Hero Class 2, I think it is more multi-layered. Towards the end of the show, he really wants to put an end to all of this. He looks very tired of it all, and he has that desperate drive to really make it happen."

Joining the cast in Season 2 is Ryeo Un, who plays the new character Hu-min. He expressed his excitement about joining the series.

"I very much enjoyed Weak Hero Class 1 myself, too. When I got offered the role, I thought it was a big honor, and I just wanted to do a really good job and nail my character," he shared.

Choi Min-young, who previously starred in XO, Kitty, spoke about his approach to portraying Jun-tae in the new season.

"It was definitely different and the way I have to approach to my character, and to the scene, and to the show was totally different because it's a whole different genre," he remarked.

He added that unlike his previous role as Dae in XO, Kitty, Jun-tae required a deeper transformation. "I think there's a lot of things I have in common with Dae but with Jun-tae I don't think it's like that. It wasn't like that, so I had to create a lot of part of him and even just about that part I had to approach in a different strategy and way in acting as well."

Meanwhile, Lee Min-jae, who portrays the role of Hyeon-tak, recalled a heartwarming moment on set during filming. "When we were filming, I had my birthday. I was really happy. All of my big brothers are here, and all the other staff, celebrated my birthday and even surprised me with a camera, so they threw a little surprise party," he recounted.

Weak Hero Class season 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix.
