<p>Film director Lav Diaz shared his experience, this time, working in front of the camera in the psychological horror movie <em>The Sacrifice.<br/></em></p><p>According to a report by<em> Variety</em>, Lav plays Pilo in the movie, a guide who leads a team of vloggers through a mystic jungle.</p><p>&quot;I love the character. He&#x27;s a conflicted person — he paints a picture of the type of person we see every day,&quot; he said in an interview with the publication.</p><p>He went on that his character embodies a universal struggle. &quot;The greatest struggle in life is how to be a good human being, and I think Pilo embodies that conflict. You feel rejuvenated doing cinema with young people,&quot; he remarked.</p><p>Aside from Lav, the movie stars Lovi Poe, Enchong Dee, Timothy Granaderos, and Pokwang.  </p><p>According to a previous report by<em> Deadline</em>, the movie follows a group of travel vloggers who stumble upon a remote village haunted by ancient rituals and a terrifying legend.</p><p>The film was written by Jerrold Tarog. Prime Cruz is the director of the movie. </p><p>The production of<em> The Sacrifice</em> commenced in April in the Philippines.</p><p>The film is produced under the C’est Lovi Productions of Lovi and her husband, British movie producer Montgomery Blencowe.</p><p>In an interview back in October 2024, Lovi opened up about what inspired her to expand her career into producing films.</p><p>&quot;What made me do this was actually, I always loved writing my own stories and concepts. I remember it started po with our film, <em>Seasons</em>, with Regal. I came up with that concept and then suddenly, it was just nice to be part of the process and then biglang may script na kami and then nag-cast na and then everything just came together, and then we were taken on by Netflix,&quot; she shared.</p><p>Lovi also revealed her desire to take on more behind-the-scenes roles, including writing scripts for her future projects under C’est Lovi Productions.</p><p>“I was just like, &#x27;Wow, I can keep doing this,&#x27; kasi there are so many stories I want to tell and showcase and eventually get into scriptwriting,&quot; she stated.</p>
