Lead stars of upcoming 'Harry Potter' series announced

The first film in the franchise titled<em> Harry Potter and the Sorcerer&#x27;s Stone</em> was released in 2001. The film follows the story of a &quot;an orphaned boy [who] enrolls in a school of wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world,&quot; as per its IMDb.</p><p>According to a report by<em> Deadline</em>, the Harry Potter series will start shooting this year. &quot;This new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years,&quot; Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO &amp; Max Content, remarked. He also guaranteed fans that the show will be &quot;a faithful adaptation&quot; to the books.</p><p>The target release of the show is either 2026 or 2027.</p>
