Kapamilya star Anne Curtis caught up with the cast of Prime Video's Good Boy, Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, and Lee Sang-yi, during the premiere night of the action-comedy series held recently in Bangkok, Thailand.

Good Boy tells the story of a group of Olympic medalists who transition into special police officers after grappling with financial hardships, short-lived careers, and injuries.

Bo-gum described the script as an instant draw, making him decide to be part of the show. "When I first received and read the script of Good Boy, it was such a page-turner. It was fun, like reading a comic book," he remarked in the interview with Anne.

In the K-Drama, Bo-gum plays the role of Yoon Dong-ju, a former boxer turned police officer.

The actor added that the characters and storyline immediately captivated him. "Above all, the storyline of a police officer having these special skills and you know, catching all the villains is very interesting to me. That is why, I really wanted to do this project," Bo-gum stated.

So-hyun echoed Bo-gum’s sentiment, noting that her character’s narrative stood out to her. The actress took on the role of Ji Han-na, a former shooting prodigy turned police officer.

"As [Bo-gum] said, there were interesting parts in the script. For me, personally, my character Han-Na, she handles guns. She is a shooter. There are also some scenes where the female character holds a rifle and uses it in action which is very new for me," she said.

She went on: "And since, I want to do well in this drama, I had the strong desire to take on the challenge."

Sang-yi also highlighted the action-packed nature of the series as a major reason for joining. "For me, I liked everything, especially the action script. The action (scene) that appears in the script was interesting. And you know, the script was a page-turner," he stated.

The actor plays the role of Kim Jong-hyeon, a former fencer and Han-na's ex-boyfriend.

He shared that he was also drawn to the superhero-like squad of the show. "Also, if we have Avengers in this world, in our country, the police are the 'Good Boy Avengers.' So we are the 'GoodVengers.' The script also showcased the teamwork among the five characters. That's why I wanted to be a part of this series," he stated.
