Moments before his demise, David and his stepbrother Tanggol (played by Coco Martin) joined forces to kill Miguelito’s troops. </p><p>“Malaking oportunidad po sa akin na magawa namin ito ng maayos kasama ko pa si Jake Cuenca. Grabe! ...Masasabi kong unique ang action scene na gagawin namin ni kuya na parang kami yung magkasama,” he said.</p><p>De Leon has been with the series since its pilot episode more than two years ago. According to Martin, David’s character was initially planned for just a short stay.</p><p>In his past interviews, De Leon would always rave about being in the company of veteran actors like John Estrada, Cherry Pie Picache, Christopher de Leon, Charo Santos and many more. </p><p>“Originally, alam naman ng lahat na hindi naman twin niya ako, ang sa akin talaga, malaking blessing ito. Sabi nga sa akin ni Kuya, niloloko niya ako ‘miss you Mccoy’, ako din mami-miss ko ‘to.” he said. </p><p>Admittedly, De Leon experienced growth as an actor with the series. And being in &quot;Batang Quiapo&quot; was more than just work. He considered it as his home, and he was with family. </p><p>“Masaya na malungkot, ito ang pinaka-reaksyon ko kasi naging tahanan ko na itong ‘Batang Quiapo’, at gusto ng tao.
