<p>MANILA -- Alexa, a nine-year-old singer from Laguna, could be the first &quot;Idol Kids Philippines,&quot; which premiered on television over the weekend.</p><p>In Sunday&#x27;s episode, Alexa impressed judges Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Angeline Quinto, and JK Labajo with her performance of &quot;Nosi Balasi.&quot;</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable fr-active" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7gCRf0zKWBg?autoplay=1&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>&quot;Ang hinahanap namin dito sa &#x27;Idol Kids&#x27; ay isang singer, ang nakita ko ngayon ay hindi lang singer kung hindi isang performer. Sa nakita ko ngayon, parang mayroon kang ipinapakita na ikaw ay maaring maging first &#x27;Idol Kids&#x27; Philippine champion,&quot;  Valenciano said.</p><p>Like Valenciano, Labajo, Quinto and Velasquez all enjoyed the girl&#x27;s powerful singing voice. </p><p>&quot;Magaling kang kumanta. Alam mo kung paano mo gamitin ang boses mo. Mayroon kang iba&#x27;t ibang placement na ginagawa. And then mayroon kang dynamics, alam mo kung kailan mo pahihinain &#x27;yung boses mo -- so very good,&quot; Velasquez added.</p><p>Alexa successfully received four yesses from the judges.</p><p>Aside from Alexa, child hopeful Natalie, 6, from Das Marinas Cavite, who dreams of becoming a teacher and actress,  got four yesses from the judges with her performance of &quot;Babalik Sa &#x27;Yo.&quot;</p><p>Twelve-year-old Prince, who performed &quot;Ikaw Lang,&quot; is also moving to the next round after receiving three yesses.   </p><p>&quot;Goin&#x27; Bulilit&quot; star Rifa, 8, from Cavite proved her prowess in singing as she performed &quot;Salamat Salamat Musika&quot; and got a &quot;yes&quot; from all four judges.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/f6qRoFuudP8?autoplay=1&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></div><p>Child hopeful Kiefer, 7, from Pangasinan, got his wish to help his father to have a prosthetic eye, as the four judges decided that they will shoulder the expenses for it. Cruz, Laguna.  A mayor in their classroom, Liam performed his idol Labajo&#x27;s massive hit &quot;Buwan.&quot; After his performance he even got the chance to do a duet with Labajo. Liam&#x27;s performance was loved by judges who gave him four yesses. </p><p>Yanyan, 12,  from Bacoor Cavite, received three yesses with her performance of the OPM classic &quot;Till My Heartaches End.&quot; </p><p>Gab, 7, from Paranaque, received his ticket to move to the next round with his soulful performance of &quot;Kumusta Ka.&quot;</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ulc3rvYSlns?autoplay=1&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>It was a good job for Klied, 12, after he impressed judges with his performance of &quot;Ako Naman Muna.&quot; Klied even received a standing ovation from  judge Valenciano.</p><p>&quot;Your peformance wasn&#x27;t perfect pero malapit na doon pero it was still very excellent. Ang excellence ay nakakamit o nagagawa kung ang ginagawa mo ay nanggagaling sa kaluluwa. &#x27;Yung performance mo ay hindi performance,  ang ginawa mo ay ikaw mismo &#x27;yon.
