Hansel Marantan admitted that revisiting his past for Editha Caduaya’s documentary film “Sa Likod ng Tsapa: The Story of Colonel Hansel Marantan” was a painful and challenging experience.The documentary traces six major operations led by Marantan, offering a deeper look at the personal and professional struggles he faced.It also spans from public victories, such as issuing search warrants on fugitive Rep. Arnulfo Teves’ properties and going against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, to his low points, including the controversial 2013 Atimonan shootout he was only recently acquitted.“Mahirap balikan ang ordeal. There were times we have to stop the interview because it became too emotional. We stopped. There are irreparable comments, it cannot be reconstructed,” he recalled during the media conference in Quezon City, Friday.Caduaya likewise shared that their interview, which clocked in about a total of 16 hours, was emotionally taxing.“It took us 6 hours para makatapos ng 15 mins na interview. Ang dami break kasi nag brebreak na siya. We need to stop. Nakikita ko hirap and pain,” she explained.“Hirap na hirap. I used to write mga research. Naawa ako but I need to push. Minsan nag-aaway kami, pag nakikita [nanginginig] or naluluha—tubig muna,” she added.Marantan, however, admitted watching the final cut gave him a sense of relief and forgiveness.“Sabi ko, there is no more bitterness in my heart and life. I have forgiven all of them, even De Lima. Gano&#x27;n ang ginawa ko. Better you forgive, that is what I do and am trying to do at this very moment,” he reasoned.&quot;Sa Likod ng Tsapa: The Story of Colonel Hansel Marantan,&quot; produced Davao-based media and production company POP Moviehouse/Newsline Philippines, is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas nationwide on August 13.
