Sport series 'Tropang G.O.A.T.' to stream on iWant starting this August

<p>The latest sports series,<em> Tropang G.O.A.T.</em>, is set to stream on iWant starting this August 15. Three unlikely students cross paths during the open tryouts and will change everything for the team.</p><p>Balong (played by Santino) is a small but spirited underdog chasing the shadow of a mother who vanished years ago, Gino (portrayed by Joaquin) is a talented but emotionally wounded athlete, and Sid (played by Jansen) sees the sport as his family’s ticket out of poverty. </p><p>They will be mentored under Coach Toni (played by Beauty) who is a former volleyball star with a past. Together, the team will begin to rebuild from the ground up and show what it means to have the grit, teamwork, and discipline. </p><p>Apart from the sports aspect of the series, viewers can expect the drama and life story of each of the main cast as it progresses. Team work makes the dream work. Anything is possible as long as you trust yourself,” Beauty expressed. </p><p>The series’ director, Randolph Longjas, shared how they tried to make the show as authentic as possible even if some of the cast members haven’t played volleyball prior to the series. </p><p>“We made sure na kahit maraming sports series ang lumalabas, we wanted really, on top of it, maging authentic. We’re very thankful sa mga coaches namin–– they were there all throughout from start to finish kahit may game kami, tryout scene–– nandoon sila,” the director shared. </p><p><em>Tropang G.O.A.T.</em> will release new episodes each week and is in partnership with Milo and the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).  </p>
