Filipino drag artist Bernie ended her &quot;Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale&quot; journey in eighth place after she was eliminated in the show’s fifth episode on Wednesday, September 10.In the episode, the queens teamed up to give Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) a makeover — turning them into members of their drag families. The pairings for the challenge are: Brigiding and Suki Doll with Bevily Davis, Khianna and Viñas DeLuxe with Christine Salta, Yuhua and Siam Phusri with Angelique Parungao, and Bernie and Arizona Brandy with Ermie Caoile.They also sat down for heartfelt conversations with their OFW partners and in many cases, their stories deeply resonated with the queens as well.On the runway, the queens showcased a variety of creative approaches in the challenge: Khianna and Viñas with Mariah Ozawa became the iconic ‘Tres Mariahs’; Brigiding and Suki, along with Bevalicious D., paid tribute to the Philippine flag; Arizona and Bernie channeled 1980s villain energy with their Lavinia-inspired looks alongside their partner, Hermhie; while Yuhua and Siam went for a Chinese traditional ensemble with Mehua Phusri.The judges offered equal praise to all the queens and commended their efforts and creativity behind their transformations. But in the end, it was Brigiding and Suki who earned the top spot, while Arizona and Bernie landed in the bottom.During Untucked, Arizona and Bernie made emotional pleas to the top two queens, who held their fate in the competition. Despite being close friends, Arizona and Bernie acknowledged that they had to fight for their own dreams.“Gusto ko lang malaman mo na kung ano ‘yong gusto ng universe, sige ayon ‘yon. Pero ang gusto ko, is mapunta doon [grand finale]. As in…sobrang gigil na gigil ako,” Arizona expressed.Meanwhile, Bernie shared a heartfelt yet hilarious moment with Suki, delivering her plea entirely in Tagalog — despite knowing that Suki could not fully understand her. Still, Bernie believed that Suki could feel how much she wanted to stay.Bernie, eventually, clearly articulated her case to Brigiding, explaining that she had already made good on her promise to improve by fixing her previous shortcomings.On the other hand, Brigiding and Suki faced off in a lip-sync battle to Stell’s “Room,” leaving everyone absolutely stunned. Beyond their groovy and sensual moves, they sealed the performance with a surprising make out on the stage. In the end, Brigiding claimed her first RuBadge of the season.But her long-awaited victory came with a painful cost — having gained the power to eliminate one of her fellow Filipino queens. Ultimately, Brigiding chose to send Bernie home, making her the fifth queen eliminated from the competition.The main stage was overtaken by a wave of tears as they watched the exit of Bernie.“Ang next siguro kay Diday, papatunayan ko na hindi dapat ako natanggal dito… Ako pa rin si Bernie, ako pa rin ang nag-iisa ninyong Diday.
