<p>MANILA -- Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings is starring in the comedy series &quot;Nurse the Dead,&quot; about Filipino medical workers in the United States. </p><p>Produced by ABS-CBN&#x27;s iWant, the series also stars US-based Filipino actors Ruby Rodriguez, Princess Punzalan, and Tootsie Guevarra.</p><p>Written and directed by Mark Labella, &quot;Nurse the Dead&quot; marks iWant&#x27;s first bilingual English-Filipino series shot in the US.</p><p>“‘Nurse the Dead’ is a dark comedy rooted in something very real: the Filipino healthcare experience,” Labella said in an <a href="https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/abs-cbn-iwant-nurse-the-dead-first-looks-1236650558/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">exclusive article released by Variety</a>.</p><p>“Filipino nurses make up about 4% of the U.S. nursing workforce, yet were disproportionately represented among COVID-era nurse deaths — and that reality stayed with me.
