MANILA — Access to Filipino films and series is set to reach a wider audience as Cinema One is now officially available on iWant a move described by artists as “monumental.”The partnership gives subscribers access to a vast archive of Filipino films for an affordable price, making it easier for viewers to explore both classic and contemporary titles in one platform.Actor Jake Cuenca emphasized how proud they are to be part of ABS-CBN’s growing digital presence, noting that their work is always rooted in service to the Filipino audience.“Grabe na. I mean, all of us, as actors, we’re very proud of ABS-CBN. That’s why we always do our best. You can see it in the programs like What Lies Beneath and Batang Quiapo. We’re doing our best for the Filipino people to serve them. So thank you very much for the opportunity,” Cuenca said, as he also expressed gratitude to viewers supporting their shows.Meanwhile, JM de Guzman highlighted how the collaboration benefits Filipinos worldwide, giving them easier access to local content regardless of location.“Bukod sa akin, siguro mas masaya ako dun sa mga Pilipino sa buong mundo na meron ang magiging access sila para makapanood yung shows na ginagawa natin sa ABS, sa IWant, sa Cinema 1. Masaya ako na magkakaroon sila ng opportunity na mapanood,” he shared.For Sue Ramirez, the expansion strengthens iWant’s position as a leading platform for Filipino storytelling. She noted that it also serves as a digital archive for artists and audiences alike.“it&#x27;s the biggest platform that serves Filipino content. Gusto natin malaman yun ng lahat. Gusto natin na mas dumami pa at mas lumawak pa yung mga content na pwedeng pumasok sa IWANT. So this is an opportunity to do that. I started acting when I was 13 years old and turning 30 this year. So imagine all the content that I did, dun ko lang makahanap talaga. So if you&#x27;re looking for material that I did when I was younger, that&#x27;s where you can really find it. And also ako din, if I feel nostalgic or I want to see myself acting when I was younger, this is where I want to go.” Ramirez said.She also pointed out that iWant was ahead of its time, launching even before the surge of international streaming platforms in the country.
