Arden Cho of 'KPop Demon Hunters' congratulates Liza Soberano for 'Forgotten Island'

<p><em>K-Pop Demon Hunters</em> lead voice actress Arden Cho expressed her excitement and support for Liza Soberano&#x27;s upcoming DreamWorks&#x27; animated film <em>Forgotten Island.</em></p><p>Liza is part of the film&#x27;s main voice cast alongside Grammy-winning artist H.E.R.</p><p>The trailer for the Filipino folklore-inspired movie was released on Wednesday, March 25 (PH time).</p><p>Reacting to the trailer on Liza&#x27;s Instagram page, Arden wrote: &quot;Omg I’m sooooo excited for this Liza!!! To find their way home, they must face a difficult choice that may require them to give up their most treasured memories. The film is inspired by Filipino folklore.</p><p>In the trailer, high school graduates Jo and Raissa are on the brink of going their separate ways when they are suddenly transported to Nakali, a mysterious island inhabited by Filipino mythical creatures.</p><p>As they search for a way back home, they encounter Raww (Dave Franco), a weredog, and come face-to-face with the island’s most feared being, the dreaded Manananggal (Lea Salonga).</p><p>The animated film also includes voice performances from Dolly de Leon, Manny Jacinto, and Jo Koy.</p><p>The film is written and co-directed by Filipino-American filmmaker Januel Mercado together with Joel Crawford, and is scheduled to hit Philippine theaters on September 23.</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/movies-series/2025/10/30/liza-soberano-reacts-to-landing-lead-voice-role-in-forgotten-island-of-dreamworks-2126"><strong>READ: Liza Soberano reacts to landing lead voice role in &#x27;Forgotten Island&#x27; of DreamWorks</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>Back in October 2025, Liza took to social media to express her excitement about landing the lead voice role in the project.</p><p>&quot;I can&#x27;t believe I get to be part of something as special as <em>Forgotten Island</em>!!&quot; she posted on her Instagram stories.</p><p>She added: &quot;Thank you @dreamworks @joel.crawford.art @jmercado for making my dreams come true.”</p><p>Liza previously voiced the Filipino-dubbed version of the Netflix animated series<em> Trese</em> in 2020.</p><p>She made her Hollywood debut in 2024 with <em>Lisa Frankenstein</em>, where she portrayed Taffy, a cheerleader and the half-sister of Lisa, played by Kathryn Newton.</p>
