But not yet, until you watch the final season. </p><p>The globally successful series will premiere its fifth and final season on April 8, marking the conclusion of one of television’s boldest and most provocative shows.</p><p>Created by Eric Kripke, &quot;The Boys&quot; launched on Amazon Prime Video in July 2019, adapting the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. What followed was a fearless reimagining of superheroes — not as saviors, but as deeply flawed, self-interested figures carefully managed by the corporate giant Vought International. Its impact was unmistakable at the Rome premiere, where fans delivered a rousing send-off to the cast — proof of the show’s lasting global reach.</p><div><strong>Final descent</strong></div><p>In the fifth and final season, the world of &quot;The Boys&quot; teeters on the edge of collapse.</p><p>This is Homelander’s world now — ruled by his unchecked ego and volatile impulses. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a so-called Freedom Camp. Annie struggles to rally resistance against overwhelming Supe forces, while Kimiko’s whereabouts remain unknown.</p><p>Then Butcher returns — armed with a deadly virus capable of eradicating all Supes. His reappearance sets off a chain of events that threatens to permanently alter the fate of humanity.</p><p>Season five of the multi-Emmy Award–winning series premieres on April 8, with a two-episode debut. New episodes will stream weekly, leading to the series finale on May 20.</p><p>The season will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.</p>
