New 'Forgotten Island' trailer shares glimpse of mythical island of Nakali

DreamWorks Animation has released its brand-new trailer for the upcoming animated feature Forgotten Island.In the trailer, lifelong best friends Jo (voiced by H.E.R.) and Raissa (voiced by Liza Soberano) are about to part ways as they head to college when they decided to spend one fun night together.&quot;You really don&#x27;t have to go all the way to the US for school,&quot; Jo told Raissa.&quot;We&#x27;re not kids anymore, Jo,&quot; Raissa replied.&quot;Well, at least we made some good memories,&quot; Jo said.As they spend one last night together a mysterious portal opens and transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali.<div><iframe width="967" height="544" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/n2zWJxmwHNU" title="Forgotten Island - Official New Trailer (Universal Pictures)" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>According to the official synopsis, Nakali is &quot;packed with magical and mythological creatures they grew up hearing stories about from their Filipino families. &quot;&quot;Joined by well-meaning-but-hapless weredog Raww (Dave Franco) and a small-but-mighty pack of pals, Jo and Raissa must face The Dreaded Manananggal (Tony-winning icon Lea Salonga), the most feared creature on the island. He previously served as co-director on DreamWorks&#x27; critically acclaimed hit Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
