According to its IMDb synopsis, the film followed the herd&#x27;s efforts to stop an asteroid from colliding with Earth after Scrat&#x27;s pursuit of his acorn accidentally triggers a cosmic chain of events.The franchise began with Ice Age in 2002, which earned more than $383 million at the global box office. The movie followed &quot;Manny the mammoth, Sid the loquacious sloth, and Diego the saber-toothed tiger [as they] go on a comical quest to return a human baby back to his father, across a world on the brink of an ice age,&quot; as per its IMDb.After the first movie, four sequels were released, including Ice Age: The Meltdown in 2006, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in 2009, Ice Age: Continental Drift in 2012, and Ice Age: Collision Course in 2016.Ice Age: Boiling Point is set to be released in theaters in February 2027.
