Marvel Studios just dropped the “Avengers: Doomsday” trailer and we are not ready.According to the official plot synopsis, “Avengers: Doomsday” will see three distinct universes collide as the Marvel Multiverse begins to collapse.The new trailer shows the first universe  as the Fox X-Men universe (dubbed Earth 10005) where the elderly Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) face what could be a Multiversal Incursion, in which alternate realities collide and destroy one another.“Something is coming. Something that we may not be able to deter. Before this day is done, we shall be faced with an unthinkable decision,” a voiceover drones in the Doomsday trailer. First introduced in the New Avengers comic book by writer Jonathan Hickman, Incursions were also mentioned in a post-credits scene in “Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness”, in which Clea (Charlize Theron) accuses Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) of causing an Incursion and that they need to fix it.The second universe, meanwhile, is Earth-828, home of the retrofuturistic Fantastic Four. Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) are seen walking into what seems to be the new Avengers tower where Sam Wilson/Captain America (Anthony Mackie), Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) - all denizens of  Earth-616 - are waiting. We then see a meeting of these diverse teams - the new Avengers team led by Bucky, the FF, Thor, Wilson and Ant-Man where they talk about an imminent threat.Another FF meeting, which comes after the Fantastic Four meet up with the Avengers,  sees Ben Grimm and Invisible Woman meeting  with the Black Panther (Letitita Wright) and the rest of the Wakandans.Other ridiculous beatdowns in the trailer: Cyclops (James Marsden) fighting what seems to be a horde of mutant-hunting Sentinels in the Xavier School of Gifted Youngsters and another X-Man, Gambit (Channing Tatum), charging his cards and bo staff in an epic showdown against Shang-Chi (Simu Liu).Gambit - who we last saw escape the Void in the ending of Deadpool and Wolverine - has not been a part of any of the Fox X-Men movies but is a popular X-Men character in the comics.We also see flashes of Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejia) and the Talokans, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) fiddling with his TVA badge, and Black Widow/Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) fighting a shapeshifting Mystique (Rebecca Romjin Stamos) who actually changes her appearance to match Yelena.Finally, we have Thor bringing down Stormbreaker against Doctor Doom, who catches it without breaking a sweat.The final scene shows Thor walking down a corridor when a familiar voice calls out: “Hey pal.” A disbelieving Odinson utters “it’s not possible”, who then offers Mjolnir. The enchanted hammer then flies to the stranger who catches it, revealing himself to be Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), the former Captain America.Still absent from the trailer are Spider-Man (Tom Holland), although he has his own movie coming out, Doctor Strange and Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).Touted as a sequel to 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame”, “Avengers: Doomsday” brings back Anthony and Joe Russo as directors with a story by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. <div><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/irVNGjRFZGk?autoplay=1&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> </div>
