Nadine Lustre on why she prefers her 30s over her 20s: 'I know myself better'

<p>Nadine Lustre shared her experience filming in Siargao for her series <em>Love, Siargao. </em></p><p>In an interview on <em>Dogshow Divas</em>, Nadine shared that filming there initially felt unusual since she had become accustomed to associating the island with rest and relaxation.</p><p>&quot;Medyo naging weird nga kasi kaya rin naman ako na nag-decide na gumawa ng base sa Siargao is because I wanted... parang a space or a place to take a break from city life, refuge [or] takbuhan from everything that I am doing here. Tapos nakakatawa pa, dinala pa siya dun,&quot; she explained.</p><p>Despite the adjustment, Nadine said she eventually enjoyed seeing her two worlds come together.</p><p>&quot;No complaints naman. Kasi medyo fun din na parang &#x27;yung both worlds [nag-merged]. Masaya pa rin siya. &#x27;Yung reason din naman why I&#x27;m doing it, sobrang important din sa akin. So &#x27;yun I was really happy to do it,&quot; she said.</p><p>The actress also recalled how different it felt once the cast and production team arrived on the island and she suddenly had to shift from her usual laid-back routine to work mode.</p><p>&quot;And then nung lumipad na dun lahat, &#x27;yung crew, &#x27;yung production, &#x27;yung artists, medyo weird siya nung una kasi sobrang chill ko dun sa isla tapos biglang work mode ako. So magda-drive ako papuntang standby area, magpapa-make-up ako, tapos magda-drive ako papuntang location. Tapos katuland ng character ko sa Love Siargao na si Cara, para akong naging tour guide nila dun,&quot; she relayed. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/music/2026/8/8/nadine-lustre-drops-new-single-personal-1852"><strong>READ: Nadine Lustre drops new single &#x27;Personal&#x27;</strong></a></div><p>Nadine added that she would often introduce her co-stars to some of her favorite places in Siargao during their free time.</p><p>&quot;We would bring them to restaurants, &#x27;yung mga good restaurants, or spots na hindi masyadong pinupuntahan ng mga tao. &#x27;Pag-break namin or &#x27;pag wala kaming shoot, magkakasama kami lahat, nag-iikot kami or mag-gy-gym,&quot; she stated. </p>
