Guy picked <em>Prometheus</em> (2012), which he also starred in, while Josh cited <em>American Gangster </em>(2007), another Ridley Scott film in which he appeared.</p><p>Based on the novel by Peter Heller, <em>The Dog Stars</em> follows survivors navigating a post-apocalyptic world, facing challenges along the way.</p><p>For Jacob, working with Ridley made for some memorable moments on set. He recalled filming “under enormous mountains” in Italy amid a large crew and multiple cameras, describing the experience as “total chaos,” adding that everything felt “live and real.”</p><p>The actor was also impressed by Ridley’s energy on set despite the director having undergone knee replacement surgery shortly before filming. </p><p>“If you&#x27;re tired or you don&#x27;t want to shoot that day, or you feel like a little bit bad about yourself, then you look and Ridley&#x27;s like running to set… you don’t have a lot of excuses when you work with Ridley,” Jacob said, recalling how Ridley would move things around, handle props and remain actively involved in the production</p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZhNVhkAQM9k" title="&quot;I&#x27;m In Good Hands&quot; Ridley Scott, Jacob Elordi &amp; &#x27;The Dog Stars&#x27; Cast on the Film&#x27;s Heart" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Asked about his character, Jacob said, “I really found so much of this movie while I was on the set.”</p><p>“I had a lot of trouble with the screenplay initially trying to figure out what it meant, and what it meant to me, and what to do. I didn’t really have any ideas. I sort of just kind of flew by the seat of my pants and trusted Ridley,” Jacob added, saying it was Ridley who gave him the space to figure it out. </p><p>“This whole movie kind of was, as corny as it sounds, about trusting a process that he said would work, that he set up for us,” he said.</p><p><em>The Dog Stars </em>recently held its Philippine premiere at the IMAX cinema of SM Aura Premier. The film hit Philippine theaters on August 28.</p>
