Kevin Jonas reveals why he does not sing on Jonas Brothers songs

<p>Kevin Jonas opened up about why he does not usually take the mic as his brothers Nick and Joe do on Jonas Brothers tracks.</p><p>The 38-year-old artist recently released his first-ever solo single “Changing”. This is a new milestone for him as well as his fans as he usually takes the stage with his guitar, providing background vocals for the Jonas Brothers and often singing harmonies or second parts.</p><p>In an interview on The Zach Sang Show on December 6, he shared how performing the song pushed him to sing in ways he never did before. When asked if he was strategic about his vocals on the single, especially with the higher notes, Kevin admitted that he always knew that he could sing but never gave it a chance. It’s like, I know that sounds like such a dumb answer, but like I just felt like I didn&#x27;t have it in me.”</p><p>He acknowledged that performing next to his brothers made things more challenging. “Like honestly, like one, you&#x27;re singing next to Joe and Nick. It&#x27;s a little difficult. You&#x27;ve heard them sing. Totally. So, like you grow up watching people like just crush it and kill it every single night. And also, it takes a lot.</p><p>“I know how much it takes to be present vocally constantly. And also, I don&#x27;t believe I had the chops to do it,” he continued.</p><p>Kevin also noted how both Joe and Nick developed as singers over the years through their solo projects and other work. “Like, there&#x27;s growth everywhere. What Nick did, [the] solo music to the Broadway and breathing and there&#x27;s still growth, right? He also acknowledged that being able to continue performing during and after the COVID-19 pandemic was such a “blessing.&quot;</p><p>After more than 20 years in the industry, Kevin mentioned that he remains amazed whenever he sees how many fans still fill their shows. The film will see Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas reprising their roles as Nate Gray, Shane Gray, and Jason Gray of the band &#x27;Connect 3&#x27;.</p><p>“It&#x27;s been 20 years since we started this journey together.
