Elijah Canlas shares single ‘Loved Song’ was for Miles Ocampo: ‘Kinilig naman siguro siya’

<p>Actor and now recording artist Elijah Canlas shared how his single,<em> &quot;</em>Loved Song<em>,&quot;</em> was made for his former girlfriend, Miles Ocampo. The singer-songwriter shared that when he wrote the song, it was meant to be a monthsary gift for the former child star.</p><p>“It was a monthsary gift at that time so binigay ko na yung song sa kanya… Kinilig naman siguro siya,” he shared.</p><p>When asked about the reaction of Miles to the song, he revealed that she was speechless and added that it felt like the song worked.</p><p>“Speechless. Hindi siya ma ano kasi, ma-expressive sa mga ganung bagay. But I think kinilig naman siya, sana. Sana nag-work naman,” he added.</p><p>Elijah recalled how the songs title came to be–– someone from his music label, UMG Philippines, had the idea of &quot;Loved Song.&quot; Originally slated to be &quot;Be Mine,&quot; the title now felt more fitting as the song was created in the past–– when he was still with Miles.</p><p>“Technically, I wrote it three years ago. Wala pa akong plano talaga mag release officially to be a music artist. Nasa ibang state na ng mindset basically,” he explained.</p><p>Meanwhile, his upcoming EP is set to be released sometime this year. Elijah expressed how excited he is as fans could see another side of himself.</p>
