EXCLUSIVE: PBB Gen 11 Kai Montinola wants upcoming album to represent herself as an artist

<p><em>Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11</em> alumna Kai Montinola is set to make waves in both music and film this year. </p><p>In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN during her launch as the new face of Hebeskin’s latest product, Kai shared her excitement about fulfilling one of her biggest dreams: releasing her debut album.</p><p> “I remember noong ininterview din ako, I said, I wanted my own album and now it’s finally happening,” Kai expressed.</p><div><strong><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1747357390054804ad55c-d9f0-452b-9b3f-7e9f72507cd6.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></strong>Kai described her upcoming album as a personal and authentic expression of herself as an artist and singer.</div><p> “I’m so excited kasi of course narinig ko na yung kanta and I’m in the process of recording them and I really want this for, not only parang the album but also the album launch, I want it to represent me and what I stand for as an artist, as a singer,” she added.</p><p> Although she became known through reality TV, Kai revealed that singing has always been her first passion.</p><p> “Sabi nga ng mga fans ko, this is KDM1 coming because this is my very first passion, which is singing. VIP tickets (₱2,399) and Regular tickets (₱1,499) are still available.</p><p> When asked about her favorite song in the album, Kai hinted at a heartfelt Tagalog track.</p><p> “I love them all. Actually, lahat. But I have a favorite song,” Kai said. “There is this Tagalog song.”</p><p> She explained that singing Tagalog made her feel fluent even though she was born in Cebu.</p><p> “I love singing Tagalog songs kasi I sound like I’m so fluent whenever I‘m singing Tagalog song talaga. I mean, sana kakanta na lang ako ng Tagalog every time I’m talking to someone in Tagalog kasi parang fluent talaga akong singer,” she happily shared.</p><p> She also noted how her Tagalog improved after her time in PBB.</p><p> With her music career gaining momentum, Kai shared her dream collaborators, enumerating, “I would want, a dream collaboration with Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars.
