<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1752714311466KakaoTalk_Image_2025-07-16-15-19-30_001.jpeg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">South Korean singer Soyou in the music video for her single &#x27;PDA,&#x27; released July 16, 2025. <em>Handout photo</em></span></span></span></div><p>South Korean singer Soyou has made a comeback with her new single &quot;PDA,&quot; a track that talks about the irresistible urge to express one&#x27;s affection openly.</p><p>Released on Wednesday, &quot;PDA,&quot; short for &quot;public display of affection,&quot; draws from a mix of genres including R&amp;B, early 2000s pop, dance, and Miami bass, according to a press release. </p><p>The track captures a moment when emotions overtake reason,  highlighting the uncontrollable desire to show affection freely.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vkQ7pM2Rb3s?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></div><div><br/></div><p>While public displays of affection are typically seen as something to suppress or conceal, the 33-year-old singer&#x27;s latest single celebrates the intensity of such moments.</p><p>&quot;PDA&quot; also marks Soyou&#x27;s first release under a new independent label, Magic Strawberry Sound.</p><p>Soyou, born Kang Ji-hyun, rose to prominence as a member of the K-pop girl group Sistar, renowned for their catchy summer anthems such as &quot;Touch My Body,&quot; &quot;Loving U,&quot; and &quot;I Swear.&quot;</p><p>The group disbanded in 2017 after a successful seven-year run, and Soyou has since continued her career as a solo artist.</p><p>Outside of her own solo music, Soyou has also recorded songs for several K-dramas, such as &quot;I Miss You&quot; from &quot;Goblin,&quot; &quot;No Sleep&quot; from &quot;Love in the Moonlight&quot; and &quot;Good to Be with You&quot; from &quot;When the Camellia Blooms.&quot;</p><p>Soyou is scheduled to visit the Philippines for <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/events/2025/7/10/kostcon-brings-k-drama-soundtracks-to-life-in-manila-concert-1904"><strong>KOSTCON</strong></a>, a concert celebrating K-drama soundtracks, set to take place at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 6.</p>
