It’s called ‘Anino’. Itong ‘Anino’ ay kanta na naisulat ko, ‘yung lyrics naisulat ko noong time na kaka-out ko pa lang sa sarili ko as a transman. Sinulat ko sya non because dito nyo maririnig yung fears ko, kasi siyempre di ba being LGBT is hard enough, right? I’ve transitioned so many times, first came out as lesbian and now I’m transitioning to trans man,” he shared.He further opened up about his transition, including the fears and challenges that came with it.“When you’re a trans man kasi, hindi lang sya basta sa pananamit. Maraming bagay sa sarili mo, ang feeling mo dapat magbago. Just to fully identify sa kung anong pinili mong identity and of course, isa yun sa mga fears ko eh, what if I’ve fully transitioned, mamahalin nyo pa rin ba ‘ko? What if magbago yung boses ko? Because of course that’s one step in transitioning, you take testosterone. Will you still love me? Will you still listen to my songs? So that’s what Anino is about,” he expressed.The singer-songwriter also teased a line that’s especially meaningful to him.“I’ll just share a line there na parang, the first stanza is ‘Takot pa rin ipagsigawan, ang tunay na nadarama. Baka tuluyang kalimutan, at ako’y layuan. And then the chorus is, ‘Ayoko nang itago ang aking puso, sa anyo na gusto ko, ayoko nang magtago sa aninong hindi na totoo. Ayoko na itago ang aking puso, sa anyo na gusto ko. Ayoko nang magtago kahit kanino, sana lang mahalin mo pa rin ako,’” he shared.Ice also honestly clarified that the song is actually more about fear than love.“When I first wrote that akala ni Liza it’s like a love, it’s about love like our love. Sabi ko no, it’s for my fans ‘cause that’s my fear. And it is still a fear, na if I continue to be myself will you still be there for me? Like how you were there for Aiza Seguerra and now that I am Ice, makikinig pa rin ba kayo sa’kin?” Ice revealed.Ice is also set to headline a two-night concert titled ‘Being Ice Live’ on September 12 and 13.
