Here’s what to look forward to at BGYO

<p>Filipino boy group BGYO is all set to take center stage at their first-ever major solo concert, <em>BGYO: The First Solo Concert, </em>happening on October 4 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.</p><p>In an exclusive interview with<strong> </strong><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>PUSH ABS-CBN</strong></a><strong>,</strong> members Gelo, Mikki, JL, Akira, and Nate expressed their excitement as they prepare to showcase their improved teamwork and special performances for their fans, known as the ACES.</p><p>“<em>I think ang pinakama-iha-highlight ko sa sagot ko is paano kami mag-work together as a team. Nakakaproud siya kasi kahit may mga opinions, may mga mindsets at mga ideas, at the end of the day with the team nagagawan namin ng iisang sagot para sa lahat ng mga ginagawa namin in the process of this concert</em>,” BGYO Gelo said.</p><div style="text-align:center"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1758970527113BGYO-1.jpg" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>Even after four years in the industry, the group admitted to feeling nervous about staging their much-anticipated solo concert.</p><p>“<em>Kinakabahan but to counter that, we need to be prepared. Usually, kinakabahan ka kapag alam mong you need to perform your best. Pero we have a whole month to prepare, so we’re doing our best. For sure, may kaba pa rin, but once we’re on stage, mawawala na siya</em>,” BGYO Mikki said.</p><p>Akira agreed, saying, “It’s good to feel nervous—it means we’re fired up. Hindi siya scary kind of kaba, it’s the exciting kind. Parang, “<em>This is it! We want to show what we’ve prepared</em>.”</p><p>The group emphasized how hands-on they have been with preparations, making the concert a personal project.</p><p>“<em>For the concert, whether it’s the setlist, stage design, or anything related, we all get to have input kasama ng management at musical directors. And of course, yung mga long-awaited solo performances. We got to choose what songs to include, anong elements ilalagay—it’s a real collaboration between us, our management, and our label</em>,” Gelo revealed.</p><div style="text-align:center"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1758970545632BGYO-2.jpg" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>When asked what fans should look forward to, the members teased that each of them will deliver unique solo stages.</p><p>“<em>For the solos, all five of us will show our own personalities. Each prod is really different. Just watch out—it’s going to be exciting</em>,” Gelo remarked.</p><p>“<em>Expect good songs! We can’t say much right now, pero we’re looking forward to the whole concert</em>,” Mikki added.</p><p>During the media conference for their new EP and the upcoming show, the group admitted to feeling the weight of mounting their first major solo concert.</p><p>“<em>Siyempre kinakabahan kaming lima kasi nga first solo concert. We changed some things to make something new, and we want to make sure na prepared po kami mentally and physically. Personally, I am excited for our performance of our new EP kasi it fits the name of our concert—BGYO. Now this is our music, now this is who we are,</em>” he expressed.</p><p>Mikki added that the concert will also be a reunion with their loyal fans.</p><p>“<em>What I’m excited about sa concert is, of course, reuniting with the OG Aces—the ones who have been with us ever since we were trainees—and of course to meet our new Aces that we haven’t met before.
