G22 gets emotional after first solo concert: ‘It’s a celebration of how far we’ve come’

<p>P-pop girl group G22 had mixed emotions after their successful solo concert <em>The Eve of an Alpha</em>.</p><p>During a post-concert interview, members AJ, Jaz, and Alfea admitted they were overwhelmed with gratitude as they reflected on the milestone they shared with their fans, collectively known as Bullets, and everyone who has supported the group since their debut.</p><p>“Sobrang sumasabog talaga. Kanina sumabog talaga yung emosyon ko. Yung feeling sumasabog yung naipon na paghihirap namin, napakita namin today,” Alfea said.</p><div> <strong></strong></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1784341821900NEW THUMB - 2026-07-18T103241.778.jpg" style="width:660px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><strong> </strong></div><p>AJ echoed the same sentiment, crediting their supporters for making the concert possible, adding: “Mostly grateful din talaga kami kasi di mangyayari ito kung wala yung mga taong naniniwala sa G22.”</p><p>Jaz described the concert as both a celebration and a reminder that the group still has bigger dreams ahead: “We are super happy. It’s a celebration of how far we’ve come. There’s still na malayo pa pero salamat for being here today.”</p><p>Speaking with <strong>PUSH ABS-CBN</strong>, the trio revealed that AJ took the lead in conceptualizing the show&#x27;s overall flow from the performances and solo stages to the tribute honoring female artists who inspired them.</p><p>“Nag-thesis presentation po ako sa buong team kung ano yung gusto ko mangyari sa flow ng program, which are the pillars you have seen. Kaya siya naging <em>The Eve of An Alpha</em> kasi dadaan ka talaga sa dissection niya kumbaga yung term na “Christmas Eve’ yung bago ka sumibol. Let them do their job kasi alam nila ginagawa nila kasi alam nila ginagawa nila. Trust them kasi sila rin naniniwala sayo,” AJ said. </p><p>Alfea admitted that self-doubt was something they had to overcome while preparing for the concert.</p><p>“Also believe in yourself. With the video, you can go back, but with the concert, we really focus so much that we forget to enjoy.
