<p>MANILA -- Legendary singer Engelbert Humperdinck is releasing a new album titled &quot;Faithfully&quot; ahead of his much-awaited return to Philippines for one-night concert.</p><p>The 15-track album under Cleopatra Records is set to be released on August 28, less than a month before his concert “The Celebration Tour 2026” at the New Frontier Theater on September 25.</p><p>&quot;My fans are not going to believe that it comes from a person my age, you know, because the kind of songs are really for very young people. And I took on this challenge of recording these songs and it turned out to be very good. ...I&#x27;m very excited about it. And and I&#x27;m sure my audience are going to think, is that Engelbert Humperdinck?,&quot; Humperdinck told ABS-CBN News on Friday morning (Manila time) in an online media conference.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:655px;display:block" width="655"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/178728269641948e5f7d0-2f0e-4916-a246-7e80e2039680.jpg" style="width:655px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="655"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Legendary British singer Engelbert Humperdinck. <em>Reyma Deveza, ABS-CBN News </em></span></span></span></div><p>With &quot;Drive&quot; as the lead single, &quot;Faithfully&quot; features reimagined pop and rock classics alongside a new original track, &quot;Always My Love.&quot;</p><p>The album showcases guest artists including Journey’s Jonathan Cain, legendary keyboardist Rick Wakeman (Yes, David Bowie), Grammy-winning guitarist Al Di Meola, Canned Heat’s Harvey Mandel, Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson, and acclaimed guitarist Eric Gales.</p><p>Humperdinck said he is grateful to his friends Brian Perera and Tim Yasui at Cleopatra Records for coming up with the idea for this album and the music videos they created for it.</p><p>To promote his newest album, Humperdinck is set to perform for his fans in North America and in Asia.</p><p>For his Filipino fans, he will be performing his timeless songs live at “The Legend Continues – Engelbert Humperdinck: The Celebration Tour 2026” on September 25. Tickets are available through TicketNet.</p><p>Fans can expect to watch Humperdinck perform his timeless hits including “Release Me,” “Quando Quando Quando,” “A Man Without Love,” “The Last Waltz,” and “Spanish Eyes.” </p><p>Asked what inspires him and pushes him to continue performing for his fans, Humperdinck said: &quot;Well, you know, I love what I do, I love music, and I call myself a thespian of song. You know, I act my music on stage and I&#x27;ve been in this business almost six decades now.&quot;</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;m just flattered that I have such a wonderful audience around the world, and people still want to see me and if I was to give up the industry, what am I going to do? Sit at home and in my armchair and watch TV? I don&#x27;t want to do that. I want to get out on the stage and do what I love to do, and that is to sing and bring love and romance into the lives of people who are watching me.&quot;</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1787283321633Engelbert KV.jpg" style="width:655px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Billed as &quot;King of Romance,&quot;  Humperdinck also shared what he loves most about his Filipino fans.</p><p>&quot;I think the Filipino people, number one, they just love music. And number two, I&#x27;m pleased that they chose me. People who imitate my singing and I&#x27;m very flattered about that and they come from the Philippines. And I know they love singing on karaoke, and when I&#x27;m working in the Philippines, I mean everybody sings with me, and it&#x27;s just unbelievable, that, you know, wherever I go on the world, people sing my songs, and that is something that is very, very unusual for an artist,&quot; he said.</p><p>He also shared his message to all his fans in the Philippines.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;m happy to be coming back. That&#x27;s number one. And number two, I&#x27;ll I&#x27;ll be singing a song in your language, one song.
