You give so much of yourself to the people you love, to your work, and of course, to all the madlang pipol. I’m so excited to be working with you again after ten years. She also shared how it is an honor for her to be called “Meme” by everyone.</p><p>“I am your Mother. I am your imperfect mother who will always be willing to care and love for all my children,” she endearingly said.</p><p>As if the moment couldn’t get any more special, acclaimed director Jun Robles Lana made a surprise appearance on stage. He thanked the audience for their support for last year’s MMFF hit “And The Breadwinner Is…”</p><p>“Dito sa ‘Call Me Mother’, tinatalakay namin kung ano ba talaga ang ibig sabihin ng pagiging ina. Susundan natin ang karakter ni Meme, at kung paano niya kailangang paulit-ulit na patunayan na ang pagiging ina ay wala sa dugo, wala sa kasarian, kundi nasa pusong handang lumaban at magsakripisyo,” Direk Jun boldly stated when asked what “Call Me Mother” is about. </p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1752046709329It&#x27;s Showtime Call Me Mother Vice Ganda Jun Robles Lana Star Cinema.png" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>The co-hosts joined in on the celebration, joking that they’re already organizing a private screening for the movie.
