Nina reveals she still gets stage fright during concerts: ‘Nandun pa rin yung kaba ko!’

<p>Since making her debut in the music industry more than a decade ago, OPM artist Nina has proven that her career and music has stood the test of time. Following her successful sold-out concert last May, “Asia’s Diamond Soul Siren” revealed that she is giving in to the clamor from fans who missed out on the show with another special one-night-only event this coming September.</p><p>During the presscon for<em> Nina XX: The Repeat </em>last July 6, Nina shared just how much she has changed and how much she has stayed the same as a performer.</p><p>“Siguro ang nagbago lang is nagkaroon ako ng more confidence to sing in front of the people and to really be relaxed in front of everybody. Kasi yun nga, mahiyain talaga akong klaseng tao. Pero pagdating sa madaming tao kinakantahan ko, medyo nawawala na yung hiya ko, medyo lang. Pero ngayon medyo parang nagiging relaxed na ako in front of a lot of people. Yun ang feeling kong nagbago for me. Kasi everything else, hindi naman nagbago yung kaba ko. Nandun pa rin yung kaba ko. Hindi naman nagbago yung mga routines ng concert or ng show. I don’t know why. But because I was a very shy person and in every show, there are new audiences, new people that I will sing to. So I don’t know what their reaction is during the concert. So every time I have a show, I have a big stage fright. So if there are a lot of people, like thousands, then there’s not too much stage fright because I don’t know them. Pero yung mga performances na may family and friends, mas na-se-stage fright ako sa kanila. And yun lang eh, siguro disposition in life. Like just staying positive and just be happy and everything will fall into place. Yung no stress talaga for me, siguro yun talaga. Kasi pag wala kang stress, mabibigyan mo ng panahon yung sarili mo na alagaan  eh. So pag masaya ka, naalagaan mo yung sarili mo, maaalagaan mo yung mga tao sa paligid mo, and magiging maganda yung resulta. So talagang pag-aalaga ng sarili.</p><p>&quot;Kung ano yung bawal huwag gagawin. Kunyari yung iinom ng malamig na tubig after the show. Basta may mga bawal for singers. Bawal magpuyat, ganun. So hindi ko talaga ginagawa to really preserve my voice,” she said. </p><p><em>NINA XX: The Anniversary Celebration</em> returns for a repeat show featuring more hits from her phenomenal <em>Nina Live! Album </em>plus other most requested songs. The concert features special guests like Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, Freestyle’s Top Suzara, and R&amp;B crooner Thor.
