Nadine Lustre sure knows how to make a difference in the world, especially in the lives of her followers, by imparting enlightenment through her words. Since her pieces of advice are plucked from her real life experiences, the been-there-done-that tone makes it all feel relatable and easy to digest, without ever sounding preachy.

In a "Category Game" on Kapamilya Chat, Nadine picks from a series of colorful cards with different categories, each filled with questions that range from insightful to playful. 

Between the 'deep' and 'life' categories, Nadine goes for the first one, which leads her to the question: "How do you get in the way of your own success?" Her answer is both meaningful and honest as she opens up about how self-doubt can often hold one back from reaching their potential.

"It may seem like I'm super secured in everything, but the thing is, as secured as I am, I'm also a perfectionist, which I know can be both negative and positive," shares Nadine, who stars in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 entry "Uninvited." She adds that there are so many things she could've achieved by now if she hadn’t overthought her abilities. While she still carries remnants of this self-doubt, she’s slowly overcoming it, with the help of her team.

So, her advice to those grappling with similar struggles is to build a solid support system. "Because even though you have a lot of ideas, it’s also important for people around you to kind of tell you if it’s good or if it’s not good. Parang kailangan mo rin kasi ng security na gano’n." And when she says 'good people,' she means those who are honest and genuinely invested in your growth, not the ones who sugarcoat things just to make you feel good.

In another round, Nadine picks from the "Would You Rather" category and gets asked, "Would you rather win the lottery or live twice?" Without hesitation, she's certain she'd pick the second option. "I want to see how the world changes in that lifetime," she ponders. But being the playful soul she is, Nadine adds that if she does live twice, she’d prefer to stay young forever—no aging, no slowing down—so she can truly enjoy life to the fullest. 

While we all love her insightful takes on life, it's the random questions that bring out her quirky, adorable side. When asked about her most-used emoji, she gives a cute demonstration of the "face palm" emoji, laughing as she explains that she’s been using it a lot this year. Nadine shares that she's had so many moments of miscommunication with people.
