While some people are blessed to have blissful romantic relationships, it’s quite a different story for others who have to go through difficult obstacles just to be with their true love. And among them are Jasmin and Tyrone, the star-crossed lovers of “Lavender Fields,” compellingly portrayed by seasoned Kapamilya actors Jodi Sta. Maria and Jericho Rosales.

As the well-loved primetime series approaches its finale, let us look back on the five kilig moments of Tyrone and Jasmin in this Kapamilya Update episode that probably got their shippers “delulu” or hopeful for the two to rekindle their romantic affair.

Those who have been watching “Lavender Fields” since it premiered in September 2024 could certainly recall how the love story of Jasmin and Tyrone, despite being forbidden since Tyrone—who introduced himself as Arthur—was in a relationship with Iris (Janine Gutierrez), used to be so beautiful.

But that suddenly changed when Tyrone broke up with Jasmin out of the blue, and the next thing the latter knew was he was already married and was “killed” in a freak accident. Things got worse when Iris found out about their illicit affair, which put the lives of Jasmin and her family in great danger and ensued in the tragic death of her mom (Lotlot de Leon) and the once-mysterious loss of her newborn child.

Tyrone and Jasmin crossed paths again several years later when he finally came back to the Philippines after getting imprisoned in China, while she had already started her vengeful schemes against the Buenavidezes as Lavender Fields. Contrary to their sweet beginning, their reunion was tumultuous and emotional as they had a physical altercation and poignant conversation about their past. It was after Tyrone saved Jasmin from the henchmen of the Buenavidez family who tried to kill her.

Seeing the sincerity of Tyrone in helping her defeat the enemies and find out the truth behind the nasty things that happened to them in the past, Jasmin agreed to his offer for them to become allies. And as they finally found their long-lost daughter—which happened to be Camilla (Janell Gonzaga), the adopted child of Iris’ best friend Lily (Jolina Magdangal)—they did everything they could to protect her from Iris, who wanted to get rid of her as a way of exacting revenge on them for “betraying” her. There was even an instance when Tyrone and Jasmin incidentally embraced each other while sleeping in one bed with Camilla between them during their stay at their hideout. 

The supporters of their team-up have perhaps gone more “delulu” when Tyrone confessed to Jasmin that he still loves her after all these years, which she was apparently hesitant to accept. And our kilig for them further escalated when he tried to kiss her on the lips during their celebration of his birthday with Camilla, but Jasmin stopped him. At the time, they weren’t aware that danger was literally just around the corner since Iris was able to already find them and even witnessed their intimate moment.
