After 14 years, Erica (Kaila Estrada) finally returns to MABEL’s dream house. By the now-deteriorating swing area, she relishes the memory of herself, and a smoking Louisa (Mutya Orquia) sharing promises that they would leave Amurao together, seeing that the rest of their friends were moving to Manila for college. Erica says that Annette (Sharmaine Suarez), her mother, is stern at the thought of her not going to college because she is “incapable” and should instead work. Annoyed, Louisa criticizes Erica’s mother and encourages Erica to pursue a path outside of their hometown even more. After a few emotional moments of reminiscing, Erica then visits her old home. With a pain that lingers, she relives the time when her stepsister, Althea, gave her a birthday card and the day when she left. Erica voiced her sorrows about her mother’s neglect of her, expressing that it wasn’t her fault that her dad left them. Taken aback, her mother only responds that he looks exactly like her—a possible reminder of him that she wants to forget. At present, a grown-up Erica sees a happier version of her mother and her family.
