When it comes to teleserye theme songs that hit you right in the feels, Erik Santos’ voice always comes to mind. With his mesmerizing vocals and heartfelt delivery, he’s been the go-to singer for some of the most unforgettable TV drama soundtracks over the years, hence, his title &quot;King of Teleserye Theme Songs.&quot; There’s something about his singing that makes a painful scene even more heart-wrenching and a kilig moment even more heart-fluttering. In a fun Kapamilya Chat challenge, Erik was asked to test just how well he remembers his own teleserye tracks. Posters from shows he recorded themes for were flashed on screen, and Erik had to guess which song he delivered for each one, and gave a few live samples too.First up was “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2024/11/26/throwback-pictorial-photos-of-vietnam-rose-2005-1332" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Vietnam Rose</a>,” and without missing a beat, Erik recalled singing &quot;Magpahanggang Wakas&quot; for the show. Next up was &quot;Sana Maulit Muli,&quot; Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson&#x27;s first-ever primetime project that gave us major kilig and heartbreak. Erik delivered &quot;Say You&#x27;ll Never Go,&quot; a sweeping ballad that perfectly matched the show’s themes of love and second chances.“Nakakatuwa kasi hindi lang ako ang nakakarinig no’n,” he said when asked what he feels about his songs being part of the most iconic stories in the world of teleseryes. “Feeling ko kapag paulit-ulit mo siyang pine-play sa isang teleserye, parang ang dami kong nare-reach na mga tao. So in that way, talagang nakaka-inspire ako ng mga tao through the songs na kinakanta ko.” He added that being chosen to sing for teleseryes and films has always felt like a huge opportunity, and he’s deeply grateful.When shown the poster of &quot;<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/throwback-katorse-2009-14472" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Katorse</a>,” Erik got a little confused between &quot;Pabigyang Muli&quot; and &quot;My Love Is Here&quot; as both tracks were used in Erich Gonzales’ two different teleseryes, so it took a second for him to piece it together.He quickly bounced back with &quot;<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2024/11/26/magkaribal-a-rivalry-like-no-other-on-primetime-tv-0921" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Magkaribal</a>,&quot; the fashion rivalry drama starring Bea Alonzo and Gretchen Barretto. Erik answered &quot;I Believe,&quot; which suited the show&#x27;s fierce narrative about love.Next was &quot;My Binondo Girl,&quot; Kim Chiu&#x27;s rom-com series, to which he added &#x27;heart&#x27; with his single &quot;Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka,&quot;a track that captured the show&#x27;s romantic core.For Coco Martin and Julia Montes aka CocoJul&#x27;s &quot;<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/walanghanggan/articles-photos/throwback-coco-and-julia-in-walang-hanggan-14383" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Walang Hanggan</a>,&quot; Erik performed &quot;Iisa Pa Lamang,&quot; another classic to his list of teleserye anthems. For &quot;My Dear Heart,&quot; he performed &quot;Sa’yo Lamang,&quot; a ballad that resonated with the show’s family-driven narrative.He also did a duet, “Hanggang,” with Morissette Amon for the drama &quot;The Better Half.&quot;And of course, this game would not be complete without &quot;One More Chance.&quot; He recorded &quot;I’ll Never Go,&quot; which became an anthem for Popoy and Basha’s love story and, really, the entire nation.  The song itself had quite the journey. He first released it in 2003 for the Tagalized version of the Korean drama &quot;Stained Glass,&quot; which aired on ABS-CBN and marked the song’s first big break. He later re-recorded it in 2005, became the iconic theme song for &quot;One More Chance&quot; by 2007.
