NDDU GNRLS makes every move count on the road to the “PGT” Season 7 Grand Finals

While they were setting up, host Melai Cantiveros, who also comes from General Santos, confidently vouched that NDDU GNRLS is one of the best dance groups in their hometown. What followed was a tightly executed hip-hop routine filled with attitude and power, with movements that hit hard and landed clean. </p><p>They climbed, balanced, and flipped across different levels of the cube frame. However, midway through their set, the prop unexpectedly slanted to one side, but they kept dancing without breaking formation, and made that slip look like it was just part of the choreography and executed on purpose. </p><p>As the performance reached its climax, the background panels opened to reveal a surprise platform filled with water, so every stomp and slide was matched by the splash of water flying in sync with their movements, creating a spectacular visual effect that left  the audience drenched in pure awe. </p><p>The entire crowd erupted in cheers as all four Power Judges Freddie “FMG” Garcia, Eugene Domingo, Kathryn Bernardo, and Donny Pangilinan rose to their feet in a standing ovation. Donny remarked that a performances like that deserves to be seen by the world, and that he saw from the look in their eyes that this group is determined to fight for their talent and dreams. </p><div><iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7VAQMIv0eLg" title="NDDU GNRLS unleashes an explosive dance routine with an unexpected twist | Pilipinas Got Talent 2025" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>In an interview, the squad shared how many of them had worked hard to become scholars as they wanted to prove that passion and education can go hand in hand, that no one has to choose between dancing and schooling if they’re willing to put in the effort. “Basta tungkol sa aming pangarap, kaya naming ipaglaban,” said one member. </p><div><iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/g_uGXt-jlRw" title="NDDU GNRLS’ Journey to Semi-Finals | Pilipinas Got Talent 2025" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>In the June 8 semifinals episode, NDDU GNRLS returned to the “PGT” stage to perform an astonishing dance number set to “Liwanag sa Dilim.&quot; The crew delivered the same tight control and synchronicity that had already become their trademark, only this time with added light effects that gave the performance a visual rhythm of its own, such as in that part where paired members mirrored each other’s choreography like moving reflections. </p><p>They also used large boxes that at first appeared to be just part of the stage setup until some of the boxes were lifted by the members, revealing the dancers hidden inside who all suddenly jumped out mid-routine. As always, NDDU GNRLS knew when to shift into full attack mode with their signature high-flying jumps that made the entire stage feel alive and electric. </p><div><iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/XYaecxyg6sc" title="NDDU GNRLS’ Performance | Pilipinas Got Talent 2025" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>They took the second spot in the online voting with 3.40% of the total votes cast that weekend, and under the current season’s format, the second and third highest vote-getters must go through one final hurdle—the judges’ deliberation—to determine who gets the last Grand Finals slot for that round. This meant that NDDU GNRLS had to go head-to-head with the act that placed third, Golden Buzzer recipient Esay Kirstin, who delivered a rock version of “Unchained Melody” and earned 2.13% of the votes. </p><div><iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bnUjSRmRrkc" title="Final Vote Percentages of Batch 3 Semi-Finalists | Pilipinas Got Talent 2025" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>When it was time for the judges to decide, Eugene and Kathryn gave their votes to NDDU GNRLS, while FMG and Donny (who hit the Golden Buzzer for Esay back in the auditions round) stood by the young rock star.
