Ricardo Cadavero, a.k.a. Cardong Trumpo, is a 55-year-old construction worker and loving father from Cavite who captured the hearts of Filipinos with his extraordinary trumpo-spinning skills on “Pilipinas Got Talent” Season 7. When he first stepped onto the “PGT” stage, he brought nothing but his handmade tops, props he crafted from construction scraps, and the goal of showcasing the beauty of the traditional Pinoy game in a way that today’s generation would appreciate. He fought all the way to the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2025/6/23/cardong-trumpo-victorious-as-pgt-season-7-finale-celebrates-diverse-pinoy-talent-pride-and-dreams-0848">“PGT” Season 7 The Final Showdown</a> last June 21 and June 22 at The Theatre at Solaire, where he earned a near-perfect 99.5% combined score from the judges and public votes, taking home the ₱2 million grand prize.  Fresh from his well-deserved victory as the newest “<a href="http://pgt.abs-cbn.com">PGT” Season 7</a> Grand Winner, Cardong Trumpo looked back on his journey and thanked his supporters. Cardong Trumpo never expected to clinch the title. All he ever hoped for was to earn just enough for his family, saying the ₱2 million grand prize is far beyond anything he imagined. “Ang sa akin lang naman, pagkatapos nito may pambili na ako ng bigas, eh. Pero sobra pa ito. Hindi ko alam anong gagawin ko rito,” he shared, still overwhelmed by the blessing. But he&#x27;s thankful, knowing this prize will change his life. &quot;Mababayaran ko na ang lahat ng aking pagkakautang. At saka magkakaroon ako ng hanapbuhay para sa pamilya ko. At maiaalis ko na rin sila doon sa aming tinitirhan na malapit sa kuryente.&quot; To recall, during the semifinals, he mentioned his dream of moving his family to a safer home, as he constantly worries about their current place being situated dangerously close to high-voltage power lines.  Cardo said he already felt like a winner just hearing the crowd cheer his name. As he shared during the competition, he never imagined receiving that kind of applause and recognition after so many years of performing his trumpo routines. The entire Pilipinas would agree that he deserves this win with his phenomenal talent and the heart he put into his “PGT” journey. Cardong Trumpo took &quot;The Final Showdown&quot; seriously, preparing as best as he could while lifting everything up to God, &quot;Alam ko ang Panginoon nand&#x27;yan palagi sa aking likuran.&quot; He also drew inspiration from the people who believed in him, including the “PGT” team who guided and encouraged him before every performance. &quot;Masaya&quot; is how he described his whole PGT experience. &quot;Talagang hindi ko makakalimutan. Matagal kong hinintay &#x27;to,&quot; said Cardo, who had waited years for a big break and never thought that his wining moment in life would come through a competition as grand as <a href="http://pgt.abs-cbn.com">&quot;Pilipinas Got Talent.&quot; </a>&quot;Sa lahat ng sumporta sa akin, hindi sapat ang salamat. Pero gayunpaman, one hundred percent kong sasabihin sa inyong lahat, maraming salamat,&quot; he told his supporters. &quot;Utang ko itong lahat sa inyo.&quot;
