The spotlight went from the stage to the court as the biggest annual sports event in showbiz, the Star Magic All-Star Games 2025, brought electrifying energy to the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, July 20. Packed with on-court action and courtside surprise moments, the event was a celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork, doubling as a breather for the artists and a rare up-close thrill for their supporters. The Women’s Volleyball event displayed fierceness and fun on the court. From the P-pop stage to court domination, BINI Mikha suited up as the captain for Team Lady Setters (Green), joining a mix of familiar names and fresh faces. She played alongside volleyball belles Isabel Laohoo, Janah Zaplan, Anji Salvacion, and Reign Parani—who’ve all made it to the Mythical 6 in past editions—plus rookies Rain Celmar and Jas Dudley-Scales. Lending extra power to the squad are UAAP champs Angel Canino, Erin Navarro, and Ivy Lacsina, who served as team boosters with pro-level fire. On the other side, Team Lady Spikers (Blue) was fired up by no less than three-time MVP Analain Salvador. Joining her was Vivoree, another Mythical 6 alumna, along with first-timer but all-out player Fyang Smith. Their squad was further stacked with All-Star Games regulars Loisa Andalio, Ai Dela Cruz, Janah Zaplan, Carmela Ford, and Angela Ken—names already seasoned when it comes to court action. As if that wasn’t enough, they were reinforced by guest pros Bella Belen and Camille Lamina. After a four-year title drought, the Lady Setters were hoping to finally bounce back, this time with BINI Mikha stepping into the captain’s seat, taking over from last year’s skipper, Reign. The game opened with Team Lady Spikers holding the first ball, as Lamina’s serve targeted fellow pro-player Canino, who immediately fired it back, setting the tone for a strong opening rally. For the Lady Setters, it was a tactical move to have Lacsina handle the initial sets instead of BINI Mikha to establish control. Set 1 was a neck-and-neck battle, with both teams tying at multiple points before the Lady Setters closed it at 25-23. The second set was just as intense, ending with another slim 2-point win for the Spikers. With both teams gunning for the win in the deciding set, the girls fired up. Lady Spikers banked on Analain, but the reigning four-peat MVP seemed a bit off-form, while Setters&#x27; Reign lit up the court with her fiery plays. The nail-biting rallies continued and the Lady Setters gained momentum, until Belen checked in for the Lady Spikers and shifted the energy. In an unbelievable turn of events, the Lady Spikers clawed their way back to a touch point. Then came a captain-to-captain moment, with Analain launching a powerful hit aimed straight at BINI Mikha, who reached for the dig, but the ball slipped past her, sealing the Lady Spikers’ stunning comeback and epic victory.
