<p>Another history was made as the first-ever edition of <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/idol-kids-philippines"><strong><u>“Idol Kids Philippines”</u></strong></a> hailed its grand winner, Alexa Mendoza, during the live “The Final Showdown” held on Sunday, September 28.</p><p>Garnering a total of 98.88% from combined judges’ scores and viewers’ votes, she bested her fellow Top 3 contenders Klied Cuangco, who received 85.30%, and Quinn Holmes, who got 80.99%. The Saturday performance of Alexa earned the highest total score of 98.69% from the combined judges’ scores and viewers’ votes, while Klied and Quinn received 84% and 80.63%, respectively.</p><p>And for the second night of “The Final Showdown,” the remaining top 3 contestants had to perform twice, as the last stretch of the competition was composed of two rounds. In the first round, they had to sing their “Journey Songs,” which signified their entire experience in the “Idol Kids Philippines.”</p><p>Alexa opted for the Eraserheads classic hit “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” which she dedicated to her departed loved ones, including her grandmother.
