Fresh off the soaring praise and recognition for her riveting role as Louisa Mae Soria in “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/what-lies-beneath" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">What Lies Beneath</a>,” Mutya Orquia embarks on the quest of naming her three favorite scenes—moments that amplified her character’s importance in the nuanced narrative. Straight away, her first pick was already an emotionally heavy one, but it marked the beginning of the bond between young Mel (Reich Alim), Alice (Janella Salvador), Beth (Allyson McBride), Erica (Krystal Mejes), and Louisa—the MABEL girls. In the scene, Alice and her father are caught in a collision, and the girls rush to her aid, with Louisa and Erica leading despite initially being judged by and distant from Beth, Mel, and Alice. Another tragic moment that truly showcased the girls’ acting prowess was Louisa’s long death scene. It unfolds with Louisa being attacked at the park, the girls desperately searching for her, finally finding her bloodied and on the verge of death, Erica attempting to stop the murderer, and all the girls enduring the rain and shivers—just to hold on to Louisa while waiting for help. While recalling the effort it took to perfect the shots, Mutya teases that it isn’t even the full length, as more parts have yet to be unveiled. Last but not least, aside from the previously mentioned heart-wrenching moments, softer and peaceful times have also been at the core of the MABEL girls’ friendship—particularly in the scene where they gather at the park at night, with Alice starting the conversation about their beloved group name. Anticipate more of the MABEL girls in “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/what-lies-beneath" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">What Lies Beneath</a>,” airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), and <a href="https://app.iwanttfc.com/dFR6MWHAcVb" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">iWant</a>.
