Soon after Liezel’s (Mary Joy Apostol) revelation of her past relationship with Louisa (Mutya Orquia) and Angelo’s (Marlo Mortel) pain-ridden confession about coming to terms with Liezel’s truth, they walk away, leaving behind Beth (Charlie Dizon), Erica (Kaila Estrada), Alice (Janella Salvador), and Mel (Sue Ramirez).Mel breaks the silence among the four, voicing her disbelief that Louisa had a secret life they knew nothing about. Alice adds that they could have helped Louisa, but when Beth insists they weren’t responsible since Louisa chose to protect Liezel, Erica calls Beth out for hiding her suspicions about the Martinez couple—as if it were an act of protection.Beth quickly explains that she wanted to be certain of her suspicions before acting, so as not to ruin Liezel’s life. However, Erica still disagrees, stressing that things would never have escalated to such a chaotic and life-threatening point—one that also traumatized the younger ones, including Chloe (Jewel Milag), who desperately called for help to save Beth.Despite being taken aback by the mention of Chloe, Beth continues to defend her actions, insisting that she can handle things on her own and sarcastically calling Erica a “know-it-all.”Erica fires back, recalling how Beth repeatedly chose to decide things on her own, with little regard for anyone who might be affected as collateral damage—particularly in the case of the false watch that wasn’t Louisa’s, which led to Edong (Jake Cuenca) being imprisoned.Fed up with the repetition, Beth questions why Erica still hasn’t moved on, prompting a firm response that Beth, Alice, and Mel’s selfish decisions in the past led them to this breaking point—with Edong targeting Alice and Chloe, a truth they refuse to acknowledge.Not ever backing down from her convictions, Beth declares that they did what Erica couldn’t have done, but Erica shuts her down, asking that if that was the right thing, then why is she having an investigation of her own about Louisa’s true killer?
