Every year on her birthday, she would feel a certain emptiness wishing her dad could be there to celebrate with her. As a child, whenever she saw airplanes flying overhead, she would imagine that maybe, just maybe, her father was on one of them, coming home to see her.  </p><p>She even sent him an invitation to her 18th birthday last year, hoping he would finally show up, but he didn’t. During her “18 Roses&quot; dance, the men who stood in for her dad were the father figures she’s met in and out of showbiz.  </p><p>Still, Ashley has reached a place of peace, saying that perhaps the closure she never received from her dad was the closure she needed after all, and that she’s okay now because she’s surrounded by so much love from her maternal family.  </p><div> </div><div><strong>From Unchosen to &#x27;Smiling Angels&#x27; Team Leader  </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Her effervescent charm made her endearing to her fans, and many assumed she&#x27;d easily emerge as one of the season’s frontrunners. But interestingly, her journey as a housemate didn’t peak right away. She wasn’t even &#x27;chosen&#x27; during the first group formation. If you were to ask her about her core memories as a housemate, this would probably be one of them— seeing her crush in person and being able to keep Joshua’s jacket as a souvenir, which he personally gave to her. </p><div> </div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/k3SwAYFlu-0" title="Day 18: Princess at Ashley, napatalon sa sorpresa ni Kuya | PBB Collab 2.0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div> </div><div><strong>Big Jump to Ultimate 8  </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Having survived three evictions, Ashley charged into the season’s decisive Big Jump challenge ready to claim her shot at the Ultimate 8. </p><p>She went head-to-head with fellow Kapuso housemates Marco Masa and Princess Aliyah in the Big Jump task, where they had to balance the blocks they had gathered from a previous challenge on a wooden, eye-shaped board bearing their personal resolution words.
